Chapter 106 Vacation
Chapter 106 Vacation
Jiang Lai didn't add him on WeChat, and then ignored him. Instead, she went to explore other parts of the resort with her roommates. By the afternoon, the weather was getting worse, and some students told the class monitor they wanted to go back. The monitor tallied the numbers, and since the majority supported going back, they all went back to school together.
The passengers on the bus were rather disappointed.
"It's rare for us to get out and about, and the weather is so bad?"
"The class monitor and the others checked before, and it was supposed to be a sunny day."
"Was that a sudden drop in temperature?" "Cold air?"
"It's alright, at least we had fun on the first day!" "Hahaha, that's true!"
Jiang Lai and her roommates sat in rows one in front of the other, with Tang Li sitting next to her.
"Ah Jiang, take a look at this." She handed over her phone.
"What?" Jiang Lai leaned closer to look; it was a photo of the class reunion.
"Not bad," Jiang Lai praised, "As expected of the organization committee member, the photos are excellent."
"Of course, and there's more!" She swiped her finger across the phone screen. "I also have videos, and I took photos of you, Zhao Zhao's, Xiang Yue's."
"Not bad." Jiang Lai praised again, "This photo is well taken. Send it to me and I'll post it on my WeChat Moments."
"Okay, hehehe, do you want me to Photoshop it for you?"
"sure!"
Tang Li acted quickly and sent it to her immediately. Jiang Lai also took a look and thought it was indeed good, so she posted it on her WeChat Moments.
On the bus, almost all the students were chattering away, and many were sharing photos, editing them, and posting them on social media.
Jiang Lai had several friends on WeChat who had just posted on their Moments, and she liked them all. Some people were even discussing on the bus: "Damn, my expression in this photo is so fierce!" "My face is so round, waaaah!"
Give me a thumbs up!
Jiang Lai's WeChat Moments received many likes from her classmates, and some people from Lingyin Studio also commented.
Sun Zhengyang sent her a message directly.
Sun Zhengyang: Junior! Where did you go for fun?
Jiang Lai's photos on her WeChat Moments were all taken from Tang Li; they were pictures of her eating barbecue, dancing, and playing games, but it was impossible to tell where they were taken.
Jiang Lai replied: I've gone to a resort in Fengcheng~
Sun Zhengyang: That's great! I also want to go out and have some fun. How many of you went?
Jiang Lai: I went with my classmates, it was a group activity! What's up, senior, are you interested too?
Sun Zhengyang: I guess so, hahaha
Jiang Lai: It's cheaper if you go in a group. The resort also has camping, fishing, parties, and everything else, so it's pretty good and fun.
Sun Zhengyang: Okay! I'll see then. My roommates and I also want to go out and have some fun. We'll ask you, junior, to come along.
Jiang Lai: Hahahaha, okay!
Sun Zhengyang sat up in bed and exclaimed, "Master! I found out for you!"
There were two other roommates in the dormitory who were startled by Sun Zhengyang.
"Damn it, you little brat, you're asking for it!"
"What did you ask?"
"Did you see Jiang's post on WeChat Moments?"
Jiang Sen replied, "I saw it. It seems like Junior Jiang went out to play?"
Ye Minglong took out his phone. "I haven't even looked yet. Tsk tsk, you guys are always staring at junior girls."
“It’s not us, it’s the masters,” Sun Zhengyang declared confidently.
The other two exchanged a knowing smile.
Shen Yi: "Are you guys very free?"
"I won't say who's in a hurry!" Sun Zhengyang said smugly, "The junior went out with her classmates for a class reunion! Not with anyone else!"
He leaned over the bed to look at Shen Yi, who was sitting at his desk.
“I didn’t ask you to ask that,” he said.
"Stop pretending, you actually care a lot, don't you? Otherwise, you should be writing code right now instead of sitting there staring blankly at your WeChat Moments," Sun Zhengyang pointed out incisively.
"Agreed." "That's right."
Shen Yi placed his phone face down on the table, then turned on his computer and started coding. "Remember to hand in your homework to Teacher Chen tomorrow. You guys haven't done any of it yet, have you?"
"Holy crap?! So fast? It's due tomorrow?"
"if not?"
Sun Zhengyang immediately jumped out of bed. "You deserve to die! I helped you find out about your junior, and you turn around and tell me some terrible news!"
Jiang Sen: "I wrote a little."
"I didn't write a single thing!"
Shen Yi: "..."

When the paulownia trees in the school started to shed their leaves and become bare, final exam week arrived.
"Ugh! Who invented exams?!" Zhao Ying wailed in her dorm room, rubbing her hair haphazardly.
"Calm down, you've had your fun, now it's time to focus on your studies," Li Xiangyue said. "Look, the pears haven't even started to blew yet."
Tang Li covered her face with a finance book: "I am dead. If you need anything, burn some paper money for me."
Li Xiangyue: "Don't die now. It's not too late to die after you finish the exam and the results come out."
A moment of silence fell over the dormitory.
"Let's review." Li Xiangyue clapped her hands.
Exam week arrived as scheduled, and the entire campus seemed to have become much quieter.
After finishing one exam in the afternoon, everyone in room 306 went back to their dorm together.
On the way, while everyone was discussing what to eat for dinner, Jiang Lai received a message from Lu Jin.
Lu Jin: When are you on vacation?
Jiang Lai: We'll be free after the exams next week.
Lu Jin: I got my vacation earlier than you, so I'll go back first this time?
Jiang Lai breathed a sigh of relief and replied: Okay.
Lu Jin: Be careful on the road. If you need me to pick you up from the airport, just message me.
Jiang Lai: No problem!
"Ah Jiang, what would you like to eat?" Tang Li put her arm around her.
"Let's eat noodles!"
In Beijing, darkness falls exceptionally quickly in winter. Jiang Lai looked around and saw that some people were already out jogging on the distant playground. The green grass and red rubber track on the playground blended together with the twilight in the distance. The streetlights were already on, and their warm yellow light softened the desolate winter scene.

After the exam, Jiang Lai and her roommates left the dormitory together; two went to the high-speed rail station, and two went to the airport. Jiang Lai said goodbye to Li Xiangyue at the airport, and then boarded her flight home.
I didn't go home for summer vacation, and the dean's mother has been talking about it for a long time. I must go back for Chinese New Year this year, because I always want to be with my family during the New Year.
She slept on the plane, and when she got off, she was back in the same place she had started from.
The sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows into the airport terminal was like a golden veil, the sounds of people talking and luggage wheels rolling mingling together with the clear, pleasant voices of staff broadcasting over the terminal, creating a unique concerto—noisy yet reassuring.
"Are you back?" the headmistress asked her on the phone.
"I'll take a taxi back right away!" Jiang Lai said cheerfully.
"Okay, we'll have dinner together when you get back!"
She returned to the orphanage, and winter vacation began.
