Chapter 119 Is this what you call a pilgrimage?
I was filled with doubt as I looked at the female fly that had appeared on the bus. Was this what they called a "one-stop service"? Was it called a "one-stop service" just because the bus was long?
And what's the meaning behind the sudden appearance of square dancing? And what's the meaning behind those fitting songs?
What's most frustrating is this talk about eating organic food in the city? I really don't understand it at all.
I was quite annoyed by what the fly said. Was there any connection between them?
Seeing that he was about to tell a very ancient story, I quickly interrupted him and asked, "Stop beating around the bush, just tell me what happened?"
"Didn't I tell you? City people basically eat hormones these days. A lot of things contain birth control pills, and even some fish, chickens, and ducks are raised on birth control pills. That's why the flies in the city eat these things too," the fly explained to me.
"So what if we ate it? What's it to you?" I asked, speechless.
"How can it be unrelated? It's very related. Eating too much of that stuff causes the female flies to be infertile and the male flies to be of poor quality," the fly explained.
"What does this have to do with you?" I asked, quite annoyed. What does this have to do with you? It has absolutely nothing to do with you!
"How could it be unrelated? Just because of this, are you saying the flies in the city should become extinct? So they traveled west in that cart to come here to collect sperm," the fly explained to me.
Hearing this, I suddenly didn't know how to respond.
Holy crap, holy crap, where's their integrity? Holy crap, so those flies were city flies? Holy crap, I'm speechless. How can such a bizarre thing happen?
What kind of situation is this? It's supposed to be a continuation of biological transmission, but why do I find it so hard to accept?
I don't know whether to admire the animals' will to survive or to feel that this is a very absurd story.
What is all this? I'm suddenly a bit confused. Every day is turning my worldview upside down.
Having heard the fly's story to this point, I basically knew what it was about, but because the story was indeed a bit hard for humans to accept, I couldn't quite process it for a while.
However, for the animal kingdom, this is nothing special. Crucian carp can freely change their sex to reproduce, some animals mate only once in their lifetime, and some animals are willing to give their lives for reproduction.
After realizing that what I was seeing was a fly, I slowly came to my senses.
Finally, they slowly recovered from the shock, and just then, a man slowly walked towards the car.
Judging by his appearance, he must be the driver. I don't have time to chat with that fly anymore; getting on the road is more important.
So I said to the swarm of flies, "Everyone, I'm leaving now. Hope we can meet again someday."
"What? Are you going to the city?" the fly that had spoken to me earlier asked anxiously.
“Yes, I’m going to the city,” I replied.
"Why are you going to the city? That's dangerous! Many people from our village have gone to the city to find a way out, but none of them have come back. Are you really going?" the fly cried anxiously.
"Yes, I'm going," I replied confidently.
"The countryside is so nice now, we eat organic food and drink pure water, why are you going out?" the flies said, trying to persuade you to stay.
"I have a reason to go. Okay, let's part ways here. I'm leaving." Seeing that the driver had already gotten into the car, I quickly flew up to it.
I rushed in just before the car door closed. Once inside, it was pitch black, because cars usually don't have their lights on when they're moving.
So once inside, I took Dafu and flew towards a spot under the seat.
Now I'm finally on the bus, finally heading towards the city, and closer to my goal.
Once people have rushed to board the vehicle, they experience a sense of relief and relaxation.
Even though it was already pitch black around me, I didn't want to see anything else. As long as I got on the bus, that was fine. Besides, I didn't want to meet and chat with those city flies.
After all, it's reasonable for animals to do anything for reproduction, but I still find it a bit hard to accept. Maybe it's because I'm human after all.
As the car slowly started moving, I knew I was slowly heading towards the city.
In two hours, just two hours I'll be in the city. Once I'm in the city, I can take the high-speed train to Wuhan.
When I checked my phone earlier, I realized that I was in a small village in a small county in Nanning City, and it would only take two hours to get to the city.
I was exceptionally happy. Just two hours, and I would be in the city. Then I could find the bullet train to Wuhan, and my transformation into a human would be just around the corner.
I was so happy that I couldn't help but laugh out loud while lying in that dark corner.
"What are you laughing at, Yimao Er?" Dafu asked, puzzled.
"I'm so happy! I'm finally on the bus. I'm happy, so I'm smiling!" I said happily.
"As long as you're happy," Dafu said happily from the side.
"Hmm." I answered and then tried to close my eyes to rest, as I hadn't had a moment's rest since this morning.
After a long day, I can finally rest. The fatigue instantly hits my body, making me incredibly sleepy.
So I said to Dafu, "I'm too tired, I'm going to take a nap. If you're sleepy, you should rest too." After saying that to Dafu, I slowly fell asleep.
I was so tired. I felt terrible after drinking, and with all that had happened today, my body was exhausted. So I fell asleep almost immediately after I calmed down.
I felt incredibly peaceful after falling asleep. I've never slept so peacefully before; this sleep completely relaxed my mind and body.
I can finally get a good night's sleep. I'm completely unprepared and without any guard up. All I want to do now is get a good night's sleep.
Living in that kind of mentally stressful environment every day, I suspect that even if I turned back, I would become neurotic. This is simply not a life for a human being; it's truly too miserable.
I was sleeping soundly when suddenly I felt like there was an earthquake. Then I heard a lot of noise, then the door opened, and then there was a loud bang.
Suddenly, a very fierce voice shouted into the carriage: "Robbery!"
