Chapter 113 Repairing the Dwarf King's Set

Chapter 113 Repairing the Dwarf King's Set

Master Pluto rushed over to Larry and Agreed, found a seat, and shouted, "Larry! Something big has happened! Fantastic news! The Dwarf King is preparing to repair the Dwarf King's Armor and has summoned all the master blacksmiths in the country. Have you received the notification?"

Larry's rosy cheeks immediately lit up with shock. He jumped up with a bang, nearly overturning the table, and shouted, "The Dwarf King's Set needs to be repaired! That's so sudden!"

At that moment, the bartender expertly brought Pluto a glass of his usual strong liquor. Pluto took it, downed it in one gulp, and then exclaimed, "It's all because of that apocalyptic incident! The Dwarf King thinks we need strategic weapons to deal with demigods, so we have the confidence to face terrifying enemies like apocalyptic gods. What? You don't know?"

Larry said helplessly, "I came here to drink before it got dark, how could I have received a notice? I'm really fed up. I just finished all the orders I had and was thinking of taking a good rest for a couple of days, but I didn't expect the royal family to give me work to do."

Upon hearing this news, Agreed immediately asked with great interest, "What is the Dwarf King Set?"

Bruto explained, "The Dwarf King's Set is a legendary set of equipment that we crafted for dwarves to commemorate Thor's arrival on this continent, modeled after his armor. It is said that the weapon, the 'Dwarf King's Hammer,' can control lightning like Thor's hammer, and the armor is made of the strongest urlu alloy, covered with the most advanced runes of that time. However, no one has seen that set of equipment since then, as the dwarf royal family has always treasured it as a family heirloom. This is a rare opportunity; to see the greatest masterpiece of the ancient times would be worth dying for."

At this moment, Larry shouted in dissatisfaction, "Can't you say something auspicious? It's just an old work from many years ago. One day I will create weapons and equipment that are even better than the Dwarf King's Set and become the King of Crafting among the Dwarves."

Among the dwarves, if someone forges the most advanced equipment, they can become a member of the dwarven royal family and be qualified to be king. Therefore, the kingship of the dwarves is not actually hereditary, but rather the strongest blacksmith of that era can become king.

After listening to their conversation, Agreed immediately asked, "Can I go there and help out for free? I'd also like to see this greatest work of the dwarves."

Larry waved his hand dismissively and said, "That's easy. I'll write a letter of recommendation to the royal family tonight, and tomorrow I'll take you into the palace to participate in the restoration of the suit."

But Pluto asked with some concern, "Isn't this against the rules? Larry, even if your brother is the current King of Foundry, you can't just stuff people in randomly. Breaking the rules might not be convincing to the public."

Larry snorted coldly, then roared, "Anyone who dares to say no will have their mouth smashed! This kid already dominates the dwarven crafting and enchanting market. Repairing armor sets requires someone as knowledgeable and skillful as him. Besides, which respectable blacksmith among the dwarves doesn't know this kid? Who hasn't received his help? If anyone dares to voice their opinions, I'll stand on the moral high ground and curse them to death!"

After listening, Pluto thought about it carefully and then nodded in agreement, saying, "That's true. Almost all the well-known craftsmen, including myself, have had Agreed's influence in their recent works. We exchanged that little bit of knowledge about runes that everyone knows for the help of an enchanting master and even got an encyclopedia as a bonus. No matter how you look at it, we're the ones who made a killing in this deal."

The three then chatted and drank merrily until late at night before Agreed helped the tipsy Master Larry back to the blacksmith shop.

Early the next morning, Pluto knocked on the door to remind the two that they were going to the palace to participate in the renovation work.

Agreed then used magic to restore Larry's hangover to normal, and the two then went to the palace, where the dwarf king was a burly man with a brown beard who looked very much like Larry.

Upon seeing Larry, the Dwarf King excitedly approached him, embraced him, and said, "You've finally arrived, brother. Everyone's been waiting for you."

He then looked up at Agreed behind Larry and asked, "And who is this brother...?"

Larry scratched his head and explained somewhat shyly, "Ah, he's Milton's friend. He was curious about the Dwarf King's Set and wanted to come and help, so I just brought him along. I was going to write you a letter last night to let you know, but... I drank too much last night and forgot about it. But he's really capable. Could you let him participate for my sake?"

The Dwarf King laughed heartily, "Of course! It's rare for such a proud fellow like you to ask me for help. Besides, how could I not know the man who controlled the enchanting market in the Dwarf Kingdom in just three months? I even asked you to invite him in the recruitment letter I wrote to you. You drunkard, you didn't even read my letter! I bet you were dragged here by your friend this morning, didn't you?"

Larry, his face flushed, shouted, "No way! I got the information from Pluto last night. It's not like what you're saying at all. I just didn't read the letter."

The Dwarf King was immediately amused by his brother's appearance, and then he said with a wide grin, "Alright, alright, let's not waste any more time. Let's go inside and take a look at the suit and discuss a repair plan."

Immediately afterwards, the Dwarf King led twenty-four dwarf master blacksmiths and Agreed into the palace. The palace was built to be very grand, even more spacious than palaces built by humans, allowing Agreed to fully appreciate the magnificent architectural style of the dwarves.

There is no throne in the main hall of the palace. The dwarf king is more like an honorary and decision-maker than a dictator of the country. Therefore, no dwarf king has ever sat on the throne to meet his subordinates. Dwarves do not like the feeling of being high above others. They feel that it is not conducive to unity.

Argreed and all the dwarven craftsmen sat together around the dwarven suits hanging on the rack. The dwarves smoked as they examined the armor from their own side, but to be honest, Argreed seriously doubted whether they could really see the runes on the armor this way.

The thick white smoke in the hall was somewhat uncomfortable even from Agreed's perspective; it took him a while to adjust before he could concentrate. However, the dwarves seemed to be immune to such interference due to their lifestyle. The observation ended quickly, and the craftsmen began to exchange information and work together to formulate feasible plans. Agreed also participated, offering his own insights and solutions.

After a lively discussion and a vote, the group finally decided on the method of repair.
