Chapter 169: Before leaving, the company realized its importance!
About half an hour later, Jiang Hai also got off work and went home.
At the dinner table, Jiang Chengcheng noticed that everyone had almost finished eating before bringing up the matter she wanted to discuss upon her return.
"Dad, Mom, sister, I came back this time to discuss something with you. My work will mainly involve traveling around the world, but I'll still spend most of my time in Beijing. I believe my sister will be in the same situation. So I'm thinking of having our whole family move to Beijing so we can see each other more often. What do you think?" Jiang Chengcheng asked, glancing habitually at her parents on the sofa.
The two of them seemed somewhat hesitant.
"Wouldn't we be a hindrance if we went there? Besides, we both work here. With our qualifications, it wouldn't be easy for us to find new jobs in Beijing." Jiang Hai and Cheng Juan exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with hesitation.
It's not that they don't want to stay in the same place as their two daughters, but jobs are hard to find these days, and going there would only cause them trouble.
"Why bother looking for a job? With your daughter's abilities and salary, can't she support you two? Mom and Dad, you don't need to worry. Just go there and consider it an early retirement to enjoy life. Go out and have fun whenever you want. Your daughter has enough money." Hearing her parents' concerns, Jiang Chengcheng couldn't help but smile.
This shows a lack of faith in her current financial resources!
"Mom! My sister is right! I'm graduating soon, and the entertainment industry is very lucrative! Supporting both of you is definitely not a problem! Don't worry about it! Just go there! We'll be happier as a family, won't we?" Jiang Yue was also tempted by Jiang Chengcheng's suggestion. That way, she wouldn't have to travel around so much, and she could see her parents more often in the future.
"Alright! Let's move! Anyway, your dad and I have saved up quite a bit of money over the years, so renting a place in Beijing shouldn't be a problem at all!" Cheng Juan felt that it would be pretentious to refuse after hearing her two daughters say so, so she made the decision with a wave of her hand.
Jiang Hai is a doting husband, and since his family all wanted to go, he didn't object. After all, his two daughters were right; it's true happiness for the whole family to be together.
"When are we moving? I'll explain things to the company and then resign." Jiang Hai has been a salesman at his current company for over ten years. Even though he's been the top salesman every year, he can only be considered a senior employee because he has no connections. Therefore, he doesn't feel much of a sense of belonging to his company.
“Mom and Dad don’t need to rent a place. I bought an apartment in Beijing, so you can stay there. As for resigning, you should do it in the next couple of days. Don’t you usually give a month’s notice? When we start school this semester, you can ride back with me,” Jiang Chengcheng replied, looking at the start date on her phone.
"You own a house! You want to ride in your car? You own a house in Beijing and you drive a car?" Cheng Juan clearly didn't grasp the key point of Jiang Chengcheng's words, and instead was full of doubt about her driving.
"Oh, no, it's just for convenience. The car is mine, but the house was bought before." Jiang Chengcheng answered her mother's question with a mix of amusement and exasperation.
"What brand? What location? Why didn't you tell the family before buying the car and the house? The family could have given you some advice and prevented you from being scammed." Cheng Juan frowned upon hearing this. In her mind, cars and houses were expensive, and even though her daughter was now wealthy, she couldn't let her spend money recklessly.
"It's okay, I asked a friend to buy it for me, he's trustworthy." Jiang Chengcheng knew her mother was worried she'd be ripped off, so she quickly explained, thinking that the system could be considered a friend in a way too!
……
in the afternoon.
As soon as Jiang Hai arrived at the company, he went to the HR office to resign. There were only three people sitting in the office. Jiang Hai went straight to Director Qiu's desk.
"Hey! Xiao Jiang! What brings you here? Just let me know on your phone if you need anything!" Director Qiu greeted Jiang Hai politely as he entered, without actually moving an inch.
To be honest, Director Qiu not only arrived later than Jiang Hai, but was also much younger. If it weren't for his family's connections, he wouldn't have been able to become the director of the personnel department at such a young age.
Unfortunately, this man was not only arrogant, but he also showed no basic manners towards Jiang Hai, who was older than him. He called Jiang Hai "Little Jiang" all day long, making people think he was some kind of high-ranking official.
"It's nothing serious, I just came to resign." Jiang Hai was already used to Director Qiu's way of speaking and was too lazy to argue with him anymore, since the other person was leaving anyway.
"What! Resign? Xiao Jiang... no, Brother Jiang! If there's anything you're unhappy about, just tell your brother! Why are you suddenly resigning?" Director Qiu, who had been calmly sitting in his office chair drinking coffee, sat up abruptly as if his butt was on fire upon hearing this!
"Huh? There's nothing I'm dissatisfied with, I just want to resign!" Jiang Hai was a little confused by Director Qiu's sudden change in attitude, but none of this concerned him.
"No! How could there be no dissatisfaction! Come on! Brother Jiang, sit down and wait for me for a while! You two stay here and keep Brother Jiang company, I'll be right back!" Director Qiu became even more anxious upon hearing this, and quickly settled Jiang Hai in his seat, asking the two underlings next to him to take care of him first.
Jiang Haifan wouldn't be this nervous if he just said something he wasn't satisfied with!
Judging from their behavior, could it be that they've been turned by the rivals?!
That's absolutely unacceptable! Although Jiang Hai isn't good at scheming or giving gifts, he's still the company's top salesperson and cash cow!
Director Qiu rushed out and made a phone call to his uncle, Li An, the company's boss, explaining the current situation.
Less than five minutes after hanging up the phone, the boss hurriedly came downstairs.
"What's going on?! Why are you suddenly resigning?! Is there something you did wrong?" Li An immediately launched into a barrage of questions at Director Qiu as soon as he stepped out of the elevator, leaving the latter speechless with fear!
But when the two of them got to Jiang Hai, Li An turned around and changed his attitude completely.
“Old Jiang, what’s wrong with you? Just tell your brother, that’s all! You’re being too formal! Are you unhappy with your salary or your position? Just tell me, and we can discuss everything!” Li An said, looking at Jiang Hai, who was sitting in his office chair with a bewildered expression.
His expression was as sincere as could be, as if Jiang Hai's previous job loss and salary deduction had nothing to do with him!
"Mr. Li, it's not that I'm dissatisfied with anything, it's just that something really has come up at home, and I can't do my job at the company anymore," Jiang Hai replied, scratching his head helplessly.
That's strange! I've never seen them this attentive before.
Why is it that the company suddenly feels his importance now that he's leaving?
"What are you talking about! What could possibly happen at home that would make you quit your job? Here's what I'll do! If you have a family matter, I'll grant you a month's leave, a 50% raise, and you can fill the sales manager position we were short of! Don't mention quitting again! It'll hurt our relationship!" Seeing that Jiang Hai's attitude remained firm, Li An quickly used his trump card.
