Chapter 1133: Adrian...
Chapter 1133: Adrian...
Watt, standing nearby, couldn’t watch any longer. Regardless of the occasion, he lifted a long leg and kicked towards Sophie.
Hooking Sophie’s underarm, Watt forcibly separated his arms that were still holding Summer Sutton, kicking him aside.
His actions were straightforward and direct, not caring that Sophie was just a child or whether his strength would hurt him, nor did he care that he was at the Walyon Family home, attending as a guest.
After Sophie’s body was kicked to the side, he sat there dazed for quite a while, his mind somewhat blank.
From the beginning, he hadn’t noticed Watt’s presence, and after being kicked, he slowly raised his face.
His gaze towards Watt was bewildered, with a dumbfounded expression, as if he were stunned.
He murmured, blurting out, "Brother..."
Watt merely glanced at him indifferently, withdrew his gaze from his body, and looked elsewhere, "I’m not your brother, you’ve mistaken me for someone else."
Sophie slowly processed his words, and suddenly his eyes dimmed.
That’s right, how could he be his brother?
The funeral for his brother had already been held...
Yet, his action of kicking him just now really was identical to Adrian’s.
In the past, when Adrian saw him holding Summer like this, he also liked to kick him away violently.
Sophie stared at Watt with a blank expression on his face, as if unable to believe that someone in this world would act just like Adrian.
At the banquet, Paul Walyon happened to walk over.
Arriving beside Sophie who was still sitting on the ground, Paul helped him up.
"You’re a little man now, so in the future, you shouldn’t casually hug girls like this, understand?" He was sensible and didn’t blame Watt for his rough treatment of the child, instead talking sense to Sophie.
"But, she’s my little sister-in-law!" Sophie argued defiantly.
"Little sister-in-law is still a girl." Paul lightly tapped his head with his fingers, pushing him aside.
Summer Sutton stood quietly beside them, observing his reaction.
Today, she came to the Walyon Family with Watt, thinking that Paul’s reaction would be like Diana Wood’s, getting angry and feeling that she had embarrassed the Walyon Family.
But Paul’s expression remained calm from beginning to end.
He hadn’t even looked at her much, just watched Watt intently.
"I am Watt Bennet of Shining Sky." Watt introduced himself, handing over the gift he brought, "A small gift, just a token of respect."
Paul opened it and stared at the antique inside for quite a while, his gaze deepened as he looked at him.
"I’ve heard your name. I’ve also seen you many times in the news." Slowly, he said, "This invitation was sent to you by me."
Watt was slightly taken aback by his words, somewhat surprised.
"I just wanted to see what such an outstanding young man would be like in person." Paul smiled, handed the gift Watt gave to the butler beside him, and then looked back at Watt.
He seemed to enjoy watching Watt, gazing at him directly, without considering his behavior inappropriate.
Summer Sutton quietly watched this scene from the side, her gaze faltering.
She seemed to understand now why Paul had specifically invited Watt to the house...
