Chapter 176 Fisher's Little Secret (2)
Chapter 176 Fisher's Little Secret (2)
Fisher parked the car, glanced at the time and saw it was almost noon, so he asked her, "Are you hungry? I'll treat you to boiled fish."
“Okay.” Yan Zuozuo’s eyes lit up and she immediately raised both hands in agreement, knowing that she couldn’t live without spicy food.
This boiled fish restaurant has very authentic flavors; it's always packed, no matter when you come. As soon as they entered, the manager rushed over to greet them, "Mr. Fisher, welcome, welcome! Please come in."
Yan Zuozuo stared wide-eyed at Fisher, tilting her head to look at him. "You come here often?"
Fisher smiled. "Well, sort of." Then he glanced at the manager and said, "Go ahead and get busy. Don't worry about me. Just remember this face. When she comes, put the bill in my name."
The manager responded, turned around and gave the waiter a few instructions before leaving.
During the meal, Yan Zuozuo was surprised to find that the portions they ordered were generally quite large. She couldn't help but pout and say, "So being a regular customer has its perks. I'll definitely bring up your name next time I come."
“Sure, you can come every day if you like, and I’ll register you under my name,” Fisher said with a smile.
Yan Zuozuo glared: "As expected of an internationally renowned designer, his words are truly impressive."
Fisher smiled but remained silent. Halfway through the meal, he suddenly said, "What's bothering you? Why don't you tell me?"
Yan Zuozuo was enjoying her meal, but Fisher's question left her speechless. She sighed and said, "It's nothing, just think of it as me having my period."
Fisher looked at her with amusement: "Then let me guess, it must be because of President Chi. Could it be that our great President Chi did something to wrong you?"
Yan Zuozuo rolled her eyes: "Why do I smell schadenfreude in your voice?"
Fisher chuckled: "That's definitely your imagination. Look at me, my expression is very serious."
Yan Zuozuo looked up at him and saw his forced serious expression, so she burst out laughing. "Master, what about your integrity?"
Fisher looked at him blankly, unsure if he truly didn't understand, and scratched his head, asking, "Integrity? What the heck?"
Yan Zuozuo raised an eyebrow: "Ah, it's your flawless and elegant image."
"Is that so? I have a feeling you're lying to me." Fisher snorted and said with a slight snort, "It's okay, I can go back and look it up in the dictionary."
Yan Zuo's jaw dropped! Master, it turns out you always carry a dictionary with you.
After a pause, Fisher got back to the point, "Could I have really guessed right? Could it be that President Chi has another woman on the side?"
Being a womanizer is in a man's nature, especially for a handsome, wealthy man like Chi Moqing who has a charming personality.
Yan Zuozuo's eyes dimmed, then she shook her head. "No, it's not that. You know... cough, when a man is too outstanding, he will always attract women... so..." She shrugged, then added, "He's very good to me, but I just feel uncomfortable."
Upon hearing this, Fisher suddenly burst out laughing, "Hahaha, so you're jealous."
Yan Zuozuo's face turned bright red. Why make it so clear?
However, Fisher quickly retorted righteously, "This is entirely President Chi's fault. Since he married you, he should give you a reassuring guarantee. A grown man who can't even do that is a complete failure."
Yan Zuozuo opened her mouth, and after a long while, she said, "His attitude is very clear: it's my own problem."
“You don’t need to defend him, it’s his fault.” Fisher said firmly, then suddenly his expression changed, and his eyes softened as he said, “If it were me, I would never let you be this sad.”
Yan Zuo's jaw almost dropped. He was stunned for a moment when he saw Fisher's impressive demeanor, and then suddenly chuckled, "Master, not only are your costume designs excellent, but your acting skills are also outstanding. It's a huge loss for Hollywood if you don't go to Hollywood to act in blockbusters."
Fisher was taken aback, her smile froze for a moment, then she put on a wronged look, "Sweetheart, you're so unlovable. You rejected me so blatantly, don't you know it hurts me?"
Yan Zuozuo found it increasingly amusing: "Do you want me to glue it shut with super glue?"
Fisher laughed, but a chilling sadness flashed in his eyes. He picked up some food for Yan Zuozuo, "Are you feeling better now?"
Yan Zuozuo nodded: "Much better. If Master went to Hollywood, he would definitely be a comedy genius."
"Hehe, I don't need others to be happy, it's enough for my beloved sweetheart to be happy." Fisher's words were half true and half false, and Yan Zuozuo didn't think much of it, taking it as a joke.
Fisher watched Yan Zuozuo eat, a gentle smile flickering in his eyes. When Yan Zuozuo looked up, he quickly looked away. Then he heard her ask, "Master, we've worked together for so long, how come I've never seen your girlfriend?"
Fisher stiffened, his expression turning somewhat strange.
Yan Zuozuo looked at him curiously and teased, "You don't actually like men, but you're too embarrassed to admit it, do you?" After saying that, she smiled ambiguously and gave Fisher a mischievous look.
Fisher rolled his eyes: "You little devil! Your master is perfectly normal. Do you want to verify his identity?"
Yan Zuozuo almost spat out his drink: "How are you going to verify your identity? Are you going to call a prostitute for you right now? Tsk tsk, I didn't know Master had such a heavy taste."
Yan Zuozuo laughed as she spoke, unaware of Fisher's gaze. He simply looked at her, seemingly indifferent yet also doting.
Girlfriend? What a distant concept. He had one before, but it was gone. Suddenly, a petite figure flashed through his mind—sweet, innocent, and adorable.
From the first moment he saw that figure, he fell in love with her. However, he had to leave and never saw her again. He searched for her likeness in different women, but no matter how similar they were, they were never her.
Every time he woke up in the middle of the night, he would dream of that petite figure, followed by endless regret and sighs. In his heart, that small figure had long been his girlfriend.
However, she herself was unaware of it...
"Master, Master, what are you thinking about so intently?" Yan Zuozuo waved her hand in front of him and asked, "Are you thinking about your girlfriend?"
Fisher chuckled: "Yes, I was thinking about girlfriends, but they were all too fickle. They came and went in my life, and now I'm all alone."
Yan Zuozuo didn't believe his story: "It's you who comes and goes in women's lives, breaking the hearts of countless young girls. Master is really good at twisting words."
Fisher immediately looked aggrieved and pitiful. "My dear sweetheart, how could you slander my innocence like this? I am very devoted, you have to believe me." As he spoke, he took Yan Zuozuo's hand, as if he was about to cry.
Yan Zuozuo genuinely felt that Fisher was incredibly good at acting cute. If it were any other man, it would definitely make people uncomfortable, but Fisher just happened to have the face of a submissive type. At thirty-four or thirty-five years old, he looked like he was twenty-four or twenty-five. When he acted cute, he was just as good as the young people of today.
She shook her head and smiled, somewhat helplessly.
But suddenly Fisher asked with a serious expression, "Sweetheart, I've heard many versions of your marriage to President Chi. Were you really serious about marrying him back then?"
Yan Zuozuo was taken aback. When she thought of the time she proposed to Chi Moqing, she suddenly chuckled and said, "I guess so. He appeared in front of me like a god. He was tall, handsome, and very righteous. I knew he was the one at first glance."
There may have been doubts along the way, but now I'm increasingly certain. Sometimes fate is just that wondrous, leaving one utterly astonished.
Fisher's eyes darkened, and he muttered, "Maybe if I show up then, you'll propose to me too."
"Huh?" Yan Zuozuo didn't hear clearly and was about to ask again when her phone rang. It was Chi Moqing calling. Her heart warmed. "Have you finished your work?"
"Hmm, where are you now?" He didn't see her when he got home, and he missed her a little.
"I'm out here. Are you still at the company? Have you remembered to eat?"
"I'm already home, and I didn't see you." Chi Moqing complained pitifully, as if she had been wronged.
"Weren't you very busy today? How come you're done so quickly?" Yan Zuozuo was a little surprised.
"Hmm, where are you?" Chi Moqing asked after a moment of silence.
Yan Zuozuo paused, glanced at Fisher, and said his name.
"Okay, I understand." After saying that, Chi Moqing hung up the call. Yan Zuozuo frowned slightly, feeling that something was off.
"President Chi?" Fisher asked.
Yan Zuozuo nodded, quickly putting the strange thought out of her mind. "Secretary Park said they were very busy and had to work overtime. I thought it would be evening, but I didn't expect it to be so soon."
"Secretary Park? A woman?" Fisher scooped some of the boiled fish into Yan Zuozuo's plate and asked casually.
Yan Zuozuo ate the very spicy food, nodding as she drank water, "Yes, aren't secretaries usually women?"
Fisher snorted and said with great experience, "Then you'd better be careful. President Chi has a prominent family background, and there must be many women who like him, including some who are very powerful and scheming. Men will definitely love you to death when they're new to you, but once their interest fades, who knows how many women they'll attract. Zuo Zuo, you'd better be careful."
Yan Zuozuo was taken aback and didn't know what to say for a moment. After a long while, she smiled and said, "I believe Mo Qing. She's not that kind of person."
Although this society is materialistic and there are many irresponsible men, she still believed in Chi Moqing and believed that he would not betray her.
Seeing her nonchalant attitude, Fisher unconsciously shook her hand. In Little Sweetheart's heart, was Chi Moqing really that good?
“Sweetheart, I’m doing this all for your own good. If Chi Moqing really wrongs you, what will you do when you two have a child together?” Fisher said this without understanding his own feelings. He wanted Yan Zuozuo to be happy, but he didn’t want to see her happy with Chi Moqing.
Damn, what a contradiction!
Yan Zuozuo was taken aback for a moment, then suddenly smiled and said, "We already have a child, so I have even less to worry about. I believe he is a responsible man and will not betray me and the child."
“Is a sense of responsibility all you want?” Fisher suddenly asked.
Yan Zuozuo froze, and before she could speak, she saw a tall figure walking over. She couldn't help but look over, and when she saw the resolute and domineering man, she was immediately dumbfounded.
"Wife, may I sit here?" Chi Moqing bent down and kissed her lips.
