Exclusive Pampered Wife: My Wife Came to My Door

Chapter 109 They really are twins.

Chapter 109 They really are twins.

After dinner, Chi Moqing told her to go to sleep for a while, as she had a prenatal checkup appointment with the doctor at 2:30. Yan Zuozuo obediently went to sleep, and Chi Moqing stayed by her side, his hand unconsciously resting on her belly, wanting to greet the baby. But the baby was quite aloof, and after waiting for a long time, there was still no movement, which made him a little disappointed.

The little baby didn't move, but the big baby was incredibly cute. Her mouth was slightly open, emitting alluring breaths. He couldn't resist leaning in to kiss her, and then he heard Yan Zuozuo let out a soft moan. Whether intentionally or not, she kicked him and fell into a deep sleep again.

Chi Moqing smiled wryly, realizing that his charm was waning lately. He had no choice but to behave himself, holding Yan Zuozuo in his arms, letting her rest her head on his arm, and falling asleep with their necks intertwined.

Around 1:30, Yan's mother knocked on the door, saying it was time for her physical exam. Chi Moqing woke up with a start and carefully went to the bathroom to wash his face. When he came out, Yan Zuozuo was still asleep. He smiled indulgently and carefully carried her outside.

When Yan's mother saw this, she couldn't help but frown. "Why didn't you wake her up?"

Chi Moqing smiled faintly and said softly, "It's alright, let her sleep."

Yan's mother felt increasingly sorry for Chi Moqing. He was busy with work, yet he still spoiled Yan Zuozuo so much. She thought she would cook some more delicious food in the afternoon to nourish both children.

Yan Zuozuo was woken up on the way to the hospital. When she opened her eyes, she was still a little confused. She looked out the car window in a daze and asked in confusion, "Am I not at home?"

Chi Moqing smiled and reached out a hand to touch her little face: "We're almost at the hospital."

Yan Zuozuo looked at him for a while, then said in annoyance, "Why didn't you wake me up?" Just thinking about her mother seeing her being carried out by Chi Moqing made her face turn red. She glared at him coquettishly, "Mom will scold me again when we get back."

"Don't worry, I will protect you." Chi Moqing chuckled and ruffled her hair.

Yan Zuozuo didn't believe it. She snorted. Every time his mother stood on his side criticizing her, he would just smile and not say a word. Even if he did say something, his mother would add fuel to the fire and continue criticizing her. This guy was a cunning old wolf.

While the light was red, Chi Moqing leaned down and kissed her on the face. If it weren't for the inappropriate location, given Yan Zuozuo's current adorable state, he would have already swallowed her whole.

Yan Zuozuo was breathless from the kiss, her small hands flailing wildly, making muffled noises. This was on the street, couldn't this stinky man have any sense of decency?

Only when the green light came on did Chi Moqing reluctantly get up, and he couldn't resist giving her another kiss on the cheek. Yan Zuozuo looked around nervously, like a little mouse that had stolen an oil lamp, sneaking around as if afraid of being seen. Chi Moqing chuckled softly, and Yan Zuozuo glared at him, annoyed, "You're so annoying!"

Chi Moqing drove smoothly, glancing occasionally at Yan Zuozuo, whose face was flushed red like an apple. Yan Zuozuo was both ashamed and angry, so she simply turned her head away and ignored the beast.

When it was time to get out of the car, Chi Moqing opened the door, but Yan Zuozuo refused to get out. He looked at her amusedly, "Are you still angry? I'll apologize to you."

"I'm not angry." Yan Zuozuo pouted, bit her lip, and hesitated for a long time before whispering, "Is my face still red?" She reached out and touched her burning face. If she went out like this, people would definitely laugh at her.

Chi Moqing then understood her thoughts and couldn't help but laugh even louder. Seeing that Yan Zuozuo was about to get angry, he quickly apologized and said, "You're not famous, you're still just as beautiful and charming."

Yan Zuozuo didn't quite believe him. She looked in the mirror again. Even though she didn't want to get out of the car, she glanced at the time and realized it was time. So she reluctantly got out of the car and pinched Chi Moqing's waist in annoyance.

Chi Moqing chuckled and led her inside. Since there was another pregnant woman ahead of them who hadn't finished her checkup, they sat outside. Several other pregnant women were with them, but most were accompanied by their mothers or mothers, and two were accompanied by their husbands. However, most of them seemed impatient, looking quite annoyed; one even went outside for a smoke. Only Chi Moqing stayed by her side, smiling as he watched her.

Yan Zuozuo looked up at him, her eyes filled with happiness. She shifted her body, trying to find a comfortable position in his arms, but suddenly a sharp pain shot through her leg, and she froze, too afraid to move.

Chi Moqing was terrified and quickly asked, "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

Yan Zuozuo gasped sharply a few times and pointed to her legs. Chi Moqing immediately understood and knelt down to massage her legs. This wasn't the first time Yan Zuozuo had been in this situation, so Chi Moqing was quite familiar with it.

Yan Zuozuo felt much better, reached out to wipe the sweat from his forehead, and whispered, "It's alright now, get up."

Chi Moqing didn't get up immediately, but knelt down and massaged her for a while longer. Several pregnant women around them looked on with envy. Yan Zuozuo blushed. They were in public, and Chi Moqing was massaging her so unconcerned about her image. She felt both happy and embarrassed, and reached out to pull him away.

The pregnant woman next to her said enviously, "Your husband is so good to you." Yan Zuozuo smiled shyly, and then heard her continue, "Are you about to give birth? Your belly is so big, it must be uncomfortable." The other woman was only four months pregnant, so Yan Zuozuo couldn't help but feel a little worried.

Yan Zuozuo's smile became even more awkward: "Only five months."

The pregnant women nearby were all surprised: "She's only five months pregnant and looks like she's about to give birth, could it be twins?"

Yan Zuozuo and Chi Moqing exchanged a glance. She also really wanted twins, but she didn't know if the baby in her belly would cooperate. The two smiled at each other, unaware that someone hiding in the shadows had filmed the scene.

Chi Moqing was still massaging Yan Zuozuo's legs when the door to the doctor's office opened, and a couple who seemed to be having a strained relationship came out. Although the woman looked shy, the man kept a gloomy face and didn't say a word.

Yan Zuozuo looked up at them, and suddenly froze. The woman had also seen her, and a cold smile slowly curled at the corner of her lips, "You're pregnant too, what a coincidence."

Yan Zuozuo frowned. The current Sophie was really not the same person as the gentle and generous woman she had first met. This shrewish and mean-spirited face was really hard to like.

She didn't speak, but Sophie chuckled, reached out and touched her belly, looking like she was full of maternal love, "Kaijun and I are having a baby, aren't you going to congratulate us?"

Despite the blatant provocation, Yan Zuozuo remained unfazed and said calmly, "Weren't you already pregnant? It's almost time for you to give birth, isn't it?" She deliberately glanced at her flat stomach and said with a half-smile.

Sure enough, Sophie's face darkened, and she gritted her teeth in hatred. She was about to say something when Wang Kaijun sharply stopped her, "Isn't this embarrassing enough? You go outside and wait for me!"

Sophie opened her mouth, glanced at Wang Kaijun, but his gloomy expression silenced her. She only gave Yan Zuozuo a resentful look before turning and leaving. Only after she left did Wang Kaijun speak, "Sorry."

Yan Zuozuo shrugged and didn't say anything. Wang Kaijun felt ashamed in front of her and hurriedly said goodbye.

Chi Moqing glanced at him: "This is..."

"The man Zixin used to like."

Chi Moqing understood; he never commented on other people's feelings. Soon it was their turn. He helped Yan Zuozuo inside, his nerves a little tense. He stayed by her side the whole time, holding her hand tightly.

After quite some time, the examination finally ended. The doctor smiled and turned to Chi Moqing, saying, "Congratulations, President Chi, it's twins."

Chi Moqing was completely stunned. They really were twins?!

His surprised gaze fell on the electronic image, where the tiny thing was actually his daughter, or rather, two of them? He was so overjoyed that he didn't know what to say until Yan Zuozuo called him, which brought him back to his senses.

He suddenly hugged her tightly, spun her around several times, and, with the doctor's smiling blessing, exclaimed, "I have two daughters now! Thank you, my wife!"

Yan Zuozuo was both amused and annoyed: "So you were so unfocused in your past life that you actually had two little lovers."

Chi Moqing was taken aback, and said in a muffled voice, "Maybe I had a son in my past life, and another one from the life before that."

The doctor laughed along. It was time to ask the expectant parents to come next, but Chi Moqing refused to leave. He kept asking the doctor all sorts of questions, making Yan Zuozuo almost cry, but he still managed to pull her out of the room.

Chi Moqing was dissatisfied: "I told you to find a private doctor. There's no need to queue or make an appointment, and you can ask detailed questions. Look at all these people, and the doctor can't even answer my questions."

"President Chi, that's enough!" Yan Zuozuo warned in a low voice, "This isn't how you spend money. Besides, the doctor has already answered all your questions. You're the one asking too many questions, and the doctor is at a loss."

“So, she’s irresponsible. I’m going to find a private doctor when I get back.” Chi Moqing said firmly. Yan Zuozuo was furious, but seeing the smile he couldn’t hide on his face, she smiled too.

The news that Yan Zuozuo had given birth to twins reached her parents' ears almost immediately. Both the Chi family and Yan's mother were extremely excited and insisted on going out to celebrate that night. However, Chi Moqing refused, saying that her belly was too big and she needed to rest more and couldn't overexert herself.

“Then let’s go to your place. No matter what, we must celebrate tonight,” Chi’s mother said immediately.

Left with no other choice, Chi Moqing had to agree.

Mrs. Chi and Mrs. Yan brought over bags and bags of chicken, duck, fish, meat, vegetables, and fruits, almost overflowing the refrigerator. Mr. Chi was also happy and dragged Chi Moqing to play chess, but they talked about politics and economics, which Yan Zuozuo listened to for a long time without understanding anything.

In the kitchen, Chi's mother called Chi Ran, but she didn't answer. Chi's mother muttered unhappily, "If something were to happen to me, this girl wouldn't even know where she is."

Upon hearing this, Mother Yan laughed and said, "Young people should be playing. If you were our age, I'm afraid you wouldn't have the energy to play anymore."

"That's true, but if you're going to play around, at least get me a boyfriend! You're so old and you don't even have a partner. It's driving me crazy," Mrs. Chi complained.

Mother Yan just laughed: "Back then, Zuo Zuo couldn't get married, and I was worried too. But look at her now, she's doing just fine. You should just let things take their course."

"There's nothing we can do if we don't go with the flow, is there?" Chi's mother said helplessly as the two chatted while cooking.

Yan Zuozuo came in to help, but was stopped. Her mother, however, gave her a cucumber to eat for a while. Every now and then, she would turn back and say to her, "Are you sure they're really twins?"

Yan Zuozuo nodded: "There are two in the film."

Yan's mother and Chi's mother turned around to look at her belly, and then said with great interest, "I knew it was unusually big, it must be twins. Our Mo Qing is so lucky to have married such a gentle and virtuous wife as Zuo Zuo, and she's even pregnant with twins, how wonderful."

"Zuo Zuo is so lucky to have married such a wonderful man as Mo Qing, and she even got pregnant with twins," said Yan's mother happily, chatting with Chi's mother while washing vegetables.

“Twins are great. We can each take one, and then we won’t have to argue about our grandchildren.”

Mother Yan smiled and nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, then we won't have to travel so far to see our grandson."

When the topic of their grandson came up, the two mothers had endless things to say. Yan Zuozuo, however, seemed completely out of place, like an alien who had suddenly appeared in the world. But she wondered, shouldn't the child be with her, the mother?

Oh well, as long as everyone's happy.
