Chapter 178 Runeterra - A Trio

Chapter 178 Runeterra - A Trio

Shurima.

The Shurima Empire was once a prosperous civilization that ruled over an entire continent.

Their army was composed of celestial warriors, who single-handedly built this empire, making it so that no one dared to provoke them.

However, after thousands of years of development and prosperity, the ascension ceremony of the last emperor of Shurima ended in failure, leading to the destruction of the entire empire. All that remained of Shurima's former glory was the myth told by people.

Today, most of the nomadic inhabitants living in the Shurima Desert must find basic necessities for survival in this unforgiving land.

Today, this area welcomes new guests.

A portal opened, and three tall figures emerged from it.

"Desert?" Kratos's face darkened the moment he saw the desert.

"Could there be some kind of god here who talks nonsense?"

Dio knew the reason Kratos was like this.

After Kratos restored the power of hope to the world, he fell into a coma due to excessive blood loss.

But he was the new God of War. As a god, Kratos would not die from excessive blood loss. As time passed, Kratos, having recovered from his injuries, left the sorrowful land of Greece.

Before we knew it, we had arrived in Egypt.

Kratos did not have a good impression of this sandy region.

In particular, the appearance of Thoth, a god in Egyptian mythology known as the god of wisdom, angered Kratos even more.

Thoth told Kratos that he was the destined one and needed to return to Greece to continue his destiny.

During Kratos' time in Greece, Thoth nagged him almost every day, and even the spirit of Athena would occasionally float out to deliver a mental blow to Kratos.

Kratos, unable to bear it any longer, wanted to find the Egyptian gods, but he just couldn't.

After throwing a tantrum in the desert, Kratos headed north and left Egypt. During his second journey through Northern Europe, he was dragged into the region by two wolves on its outskirts.

That's how the storylines of God of War 4 and 5 came about.

It can be said that during the period when Kratos left Greece to marry and have children in Northern Europe, the Egyptian gods inflicted the most psychological blows on Kratos.

So when I saw the desert this time, I immediately thought of Egyptian gods and Thoth, the bird-headed human.

However, there is a similar entity in Shurima...

Azir, the Emperor of the Desert.

Or perhaps it was Azir, the bird-headed, human-bodied warrior who had broken free from the tomb's seal and successfully ascended to heaven.

"Gods don't appear now, but some demigods who call themselves celestial warriors used to be frequent visitors here."

Dio then explained some events concerning Shurima.

"Oh? Looks like there are quite a few opponents here." Thor, the God of War, said excitedly, while casually tidying his hair.

During his time in Marvel Asgard, he learned how to groom his hair and beard from the Marvel team. Now, Thor's hair and beard are smooth, and he even takes a moment to show off his good looks.

Odin also told him about this, probably because Sif, Thor's wife, felt threatened by the Marvel Thor's smiling blond puppy-like appearance and did this.

During this period, she even seriously started exercising, treating it as a way to lose weight.

Dio now has reason to believe that the reason for following them this time may include the desire to find a stronger enemy to hone his skills.

As for Kratos, he was probably brought in by Thor to make up the numbers, probably to avoid making himself feel awkward.

“You can search with a purpose. Apart from a very few Ascended Warriors who have fallen into Darkin, the others have retained their individuality and have never changed.” Dio said, his telepathic senses locking onto a humanoid creature.

“Oh? Is one of them the one you were talking about… the dog head?” Kratos asked.

Dio laughed and said, "His name is Nasus. He was one of the oldest Ascended Warriors in the Shurima Empire. When Shurima was in turmoil, he and his brother used their bodies to drag the traitor Xerath into the seal."

"He and his brother were among the few Ascended who escaped the Twilight Protoss purge and did not fall into Darkin."

Dio led the two to a sand dune, where the deafening sounds of clashing weapons and angry shouts could be heard in the distance.

It was Nasus, the dog-headed monster, and his brother, Renekton, the crocodile driven mad by Xerath.

It is also the prototype of Soton in the Super God Academy universe.

Upon seeing this, the God of War Thor was extremely excited.

With a snap of his fingers, Mjolnir flew into his hand. Then, Thor looked at Dio and said, "You certainly wouldn't tell us these things so easily, and you even brought us here. Tell me, who are we supposed to help?"

No sooner had Thor finished speaking than Dio saw Kratos draw the Blades of Chaos, ready for battle.

Dio was somewhat surprised. He had originally thought Thor was just a simpleton, but he hadn't expected him to be so shrewd.

After arriving in Runeterra, Dio had an idea.

The system rewards you only after you come into contact with special items. In the Marvel universe, it's the Infinity Stones. In the DC universe, it's unclear what it will be due to special circumstances, but it's definitely a special treasure of that world.

Aside from the weakened version of the Dragon King's Ascension Energy, the only other such items in Runeterra are the World Runes beneath the Forbidden Stone Forest in Demacia.

There is currently no sign of the sun disk rising in Shurima, so Azir must not have woken up yet. The only one who can be contacted is Sivir, the goddess of war and Azir's bloodline descendant.

However, there is still a difference between the three-dimensional and two-dimensional worlds. He used telepathy to find dozens of women whose ages matched and who were named Sivir, but the only person who could accurately find a descendant of Azir's bloodline was Nasus!

As for why it's so complicated...

Water, of course... it's the joy of playing with life!

and so……

"Just keep the crocodile under control. Remember not to use your full strength. Show weakness and create an opportunity for me to talk some sense into him!"

Upon receiving the order, Thor, the God of War, grabbed Kratos and flew into the battlefield.

A thunderous roar erupted, forcing Nasus and Renekton to separate.

"Cowards!" Renekton roared as he charged toward Thor and Kratos upon seeing the two who had suddenly appeared, assuming they were reinforcements summoned by Nasus.

"Wait... wait!" Nasus was completely bewildered. How did two people suddenly appear?

However, for the safety of the two, Nasus immediately wanted them to retreat.

But those two are Thor and War.

Even with the power of ascension, Renekton would not be a match for the two of them.

In fact, Thor alone could have made Renekton unable to stand up, but unfortunately, Dio had ordered them not to use their full strength, so the two of them could only fight cautiously.

Nasus was amazed by what he saw. When did someone appear who could stand up to the warriors of the gods?

Soon, Nasus discovered that Thor and Kratos seemed to possess an inexplicable and powerful energy, which appeared to be the key to their growth.

"Ah! Damn bugs!" Renekton roared, and the surrounding yellow sand stirred without wind, quickly turning into a sandstorm.

Renekton's eyes turned blood red, and both his strength and speed increased by more than one level!

The two, who hadn't used their full strength, were temporarily suppressed!

Seeing this, Nasus became extremely anxious. He swung his scepter-like long-handled axe, and a strange magical energy fell on Renekton.

Immediately, Renekton felt a slowdown, his joints began to crack, his muscles became weak, and his god-like reaction speed decreased.

I'll kill you while you're sick!

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Kratos and his companion quickly bound Renekton tightly with the chains of the Chaos Blades.

Nasus was completely dumbfounded.

"That's... all done?"
