Chapter 160
Chapter 160
Harry woke up on Sunday morning feeling a little distracted.
It was strange that he didn't feel much when he saw the dragon last night, but after sleeping, he started to feel anxious.
Of course, maybe it was because he was thinking about meeting Sirius as soon as possible last night, or maybe it was because Ron's sudden appearance interrupted the extremely rare meeting.
Harry was furious. He knew Ron hadn't meant it, but he still wanted to beat him up.
When he finally put on his clothes in a distracted state, he couldn't wait to find Su Xingchen and Hermione.
They were having breakfast in the Great Hall, with Ginny sitting nearby.
So Harry had to wait, feeling sick to his stomach and having no desire to eat anything.
After Ginny left, he eagerly told the two about the dragon and what Sirius had said.
"Don't say that here." Hermione swallowed the last mouthful of porridge.
Harry and Hermione walked around the lake three times, racking their brains for a way to deal with the dragon. Su Xingchen followed them, trembling, his brow furrowed from time to time, seemingly pondering the problem as well.
But what she was actually thinking was that Harry had not yet fully mastered the summoning spell, so what was going on?
Harry and Hermione thought hard for a long time but still got nothing, so they finally decided to go back to the library.
Harry brought over all the books on dragons he could find.
The three of them began to search for a needle in a haystack, trying to find a way to deal with the fire dragon in this pile of books.
"Magical claw trimming... Treatments for festering scales..." Hermione flipped through a book and threw it away. "It's useless. This is for weirdos like Hagrid who want dragons to be strong."
"Dragons are extremely difficult to kill because their thick scales contain ancient magic that only the most powerful spells can penetrate." Harry read from one of the books, "But Sirius said that a simple spell can solve the problem."
Yes, that's why Harry was so angry. Sirius was about to tell him how to deal with the dragon when he was interrupted by Ron.
"Maybe we can try looking for it in the simple spells." Su Xingchen handed the book in her hand to Harry. She had just found the summoning spell in it.
Harry dropped his copy of The Man Who Loved Dragons and took the book from her.
"Transfiguration spell? But what's the use of a transformation spell unless you transform their fangs to make them less dangerous. But the book is right, nothing can penetrate a dragon. I doubt Professor McGonagall can transform such a huge creature." Hermione muttered as she flipped through the book.
"Unless you cast a spell on yourself to increase your strength? But that's not a simple spell. I mean, we haven't learned it in class yet. I learned about it when I was practicing for the owl exam..."
Su Xingchen sighed, as if he was back in first grade when they were looking for Nicolas Flamel.
Harry felt a hollow buzzing in his head, making it impossible for him to concentrate.
"Hermione." He gritted his teeth. "Could you please be quiet for a moment? I can't think straight."
Hermione stopped talking, but the situation didn't seem to get any better. Harry stared at the book "Basic Spells" in front of him in despair.
Want to scalp? Dragons don't have hair.
Harden his tongue? That was exactly what he needed, another weapon for the dragon.
"Oh no, there he goes again. Why can't he watch it on that stupid big ship?" said Hermione irritably.
Su Xingchen followed her gaze and saw Viktor Krum walk in listlessly. He glanced at the three of them with a gloomy look, then sat down in a corner in the distance, holding a book.
Ah, this... I don't look like I like it at all.
But it looked like Hermione had run into Krum quite a few times while she and Harry were away.
"Let's go back to the common room. His fan club will be here soon, chattering and annoying." Hermione pulled Su Xingchen up and said to Harry again.
Sure enough, as they were leaving the library, a group of girls came in on tiptoe from the door, each of them with a Bulgarian scarf tied around their waist.
Harry barely slept that night, and the next morning he first entertained the idea of running away from Hogwarts.
But as he looked around the auditorium at breakfast and thought about what it would mean to leave, he knew he couldn't do it.
When he thought that he would rather stay in Hogwarts and face a dragon than go back to the Dursleys, Harry's mood suddenly calmed down a lot.
Just then, he saw Cedric Diggory preparing to leave the Hufflepuff table.
He was the only warrior who was unaware of this.
Harry couldn't make sense of his own thoughts; this didn't seem right.
After watching Cedric leave the auditorium, he made a split-second decision.
but……
"I dont go."
"Why?" Harry was puzzled.
Su Xingchen picked up the last bite of bacon with a fork and ate it, then wiped his mouth.
"You were the one who wanted to tell him this, why didn't you do it yourself?"
Harry couldn't explain why he didn't want to tell them himself. He thought Xingchen would be happy to do it, after all, she had a good relationship with Cedric. Hermione was not in the same class as them and had already left after eating.
"Go quickly, he's almost gone far away." Su Xingchen nodded towards the door of the auditorium.
By the time Harry reached the bottom of the marble staircase, Cedric and his classmates were already at the top.
Harry didn't want to talk to these people in front of him. Every time he approached, they would quote Rita Skeeter's article and laugh at him.
Harry followed Cedric at a distance and saw that they were heading towards the Charms classroom, but he couldn't find the right moment.
For some reason, Cedric's schoolbag suddenly exploded, and parchment and quills fell to the ground.
"Don't pick it up." Cedric seemed a little stunned. He stopped his friends from squatting down to help him clean up. "You go first. Tell Professor Flitwick that I'll be right there."
This was exactly what Harry had hoped for, and once Cedric's friends had left, he hurried over.
Another person who was secretly following Harry, Sue Yellowbird Star, saw that the two of them were finally talking, wiped her wand and put it back in her pocket, keeping her achievements and fame to herself.
She is such a good person.
I guess Cedric wouldn't blame her.
However, Harry was late for a bit longer than expected, and he whispered about his encounter with Mad-Eye Moody during class.
"I need your help," he said finally.
"No problem." Su Xingchen nodded. The level of Harry's summoning spell was too high to bear.
As for her Patronus Charm... Never mind, I won't talk about it.
