Chapter 133 Xihuang Island
Chapter 133 Xihuang Island
Ma Ziyan looked at Xu Tian's haggard face and said distressedly, "Xu Tian, let's take a break first. Drink some water and replenish your energy."
Xu Tian nodded, squatted down by the stream, scooped up the cool water with both hands, and drank it in big gulps. Ma Ziyan sat nearby, observing her surroundings vigilantly.
"Zi Yan, I'm sorry for making you suffer by following me." Xu Tian said guiltily.
Ma Ziyan shook her head gently and said, "As long as I can be with you, I'm not afraid of any hardship."
Suddenly, there was a noisy sound of footsteps in the distance, and Ma Ziyan's face changed drastically: "Oh no, someone is coming!"
Xu Tianqiang stood up, pulled Ma Ziyan up and ran deep into the woods. They desperately shuttled through the woods, branches scraping their clothes and scratching their skin, but they didn't dare to stop.
After running for a long time, the two finally hid behind a huge rock. They held their breath and listened to the noise outside.
"We must find them!" a rough voice came.
Xu Tian and Ma Zi Yan's hearts were in their throats.
After a while, the footsteps gradually faded away and the two men breathed a sigh of relief.
"We can't run blindly like this anymore. We have to find a way to get rid of them," said Ma Zi Yan.
Xu Tian frowned and thought for a moment, then said, "I remember there is a valley ahead with complex terrain. Maybe we can hide there."
So the two continued on their way.
Finally we arrived at the valley, which was filled with thick fog and we couldn't see the road ahead clearly.
"Be careful, Zi Yan." Xu Tian said softly.
They walked carefully into the valley. Suddenly, Ma Ziyan slipped and almost fell. Xu Tian hurriedly reached out to hold her, but accidentally pulled the wound, causing him to gasp in pain.
"Are you okay, Xu Tian?" Ma Zi Yan asked worriedly.
"I'm fine, keep going." Xu Tian said gritting his teeth.
Just then, a ferocious beast rushed past them, scaring Ma Zi Yan so much that she screamed.
Xu Tian held Ma Ziyan tightly behind him and confronted the beast. The beast glared at them, baring its sharp teeth.
Xu Tian picked up a branch from the ground and prepared to fight the beast. Perhaps sensing Xu Tian's determination, the beast hesitated for a moment, turned around and ran away.
The two continued to grope their way forward in the valley and finally found a hidden cave.
"Let's rest here tonight." Xu Tian said.
Ma Zi Yan nodded, and the two of them walked into the cave and leaned against the wall tiredly.
"I don't know when days like this will end." Ma Zi Yan sighed.
Xu Tian held her hand and said, "Don't be afraid, as long as we are alive, there is hope."
At night, Xu Tian kept murmuring in his sleep, and Ma Zi Yan gently stroked his forehead, hoping to give him some comfort.
The next morning, sunlight streamed into the cave through the gaps in the leaves. Xu Tian and Ma Ziyan woke up and continued their escape.
After being rescued, Chu Yi lay on the comfortable bed. His face was still pale, but his eyes had gradually regained some vitality. His personal attendant waited on him cautiously, not daring to breathe.
"Master, how do you feel?" the servant asked softly.
Chu Yi frowned and was about to speak when he felt his throat dry. He waved his hand slightly, signaling the servant to pour him a glass of water.
The servant hurriedly handed the cup of water to Chu Yi's mouth. Chu Yi drank a few sips of water and felt his throat better.
"What's the situation outside now?" Chu Yi's voice was still a little weak.
The attendant quickly replied: "Master, everything is under control, but..."
Chu Yi raised his eyebrows, "Just what? Don't hesitate!"
The attendant lowered his head and whispered, "It's just that the young lady was taken hostage by Xu Tian."
When Chu Yi heard this, he sat up suddenly, his face instantly filled with anger: "What? This bitch!" His eyes were wide open and veins bulged on his forehead.
"She must be still in love with Xu Tian and they have teamed up to betray me!" Chu Yi said gritting his teeth, clutching the quilt tightly with both hands, his knuckles turning white from the force.
His chest heaved violently, and the anger in his heart burned more and more fiercely.
"Send people out immediately to find them! Kill Ma Zi Yan and Xu Tian without mercy when you see them, don't spare a single one!" Chu Yi roared, and the sound seemed to be able to overturn the roof.
The servant was so frightened that he trembled all over and quickly replied, "Yes, sir, I will arrange it right away." After that, he hurried out.
Chu Yi sat on the bed, panting, his eyes full of resentment and suspicion. He never thought that Ma Ziyan would betray him. Thinking of this, he punched the bed hard.
And on the other side, on a distant island.
Sunlight streamed through the shabby windows of the thatched hut, casting patches of light onto the ground. A young man, wrapped in bandages, slowly opened his eyes in bed. His gaze was hazy and bewildered as he tried to take in his surroundings.
He turned his head with great effort and saw that the room was simply furnished. Apart from a bed, there was only a tattered table and a few stools.
At this moment, the cheerful voice of a little boy broke the silence in the room.
"Mom, that person seems to wake up!" the little boy shouted as he ran in.
Then, a woman who was less than thirty years old walked in.
When the little boy saw Lin Feng wake up, he danced with excitement and ran to the bed, looking at Lin Feng with shining eyes.
"Big brother, you're awake!" said the little boy happily.
Lin Feng frowned and wanted to speak, but found that his throat was very dry.
"Where is this place? Why am I here?" Lin Feng's voice was hoarse and weak.
The little boy blinked his eyes and said, "Big brother, I found you sleeping on the beach!"
The woman stepped forward and said gently, "My son found you. You must have been washed up on the beach, seriously injured, and have been unconscious for several days. This is Xihuang Island."
Lin Feng tried hard to recall, and the fierce battle with the Tenth Elder of the Nine Emperor Pavilion gradually emerged in his mind.
"My moves...after the explosion...were blown into the sea by the aftermath..." Lin Feng muttered to himself.
The little boy looked at him curiously, "Big brother, what are you talking about?"
Lin Feng smiled bitterly and shook his head, "Nothing, kid."
The woman said, "Young Master, you should take a good rest first and heal your wounds first."
Lin Feng nodded, "Thank you for saving my life."
In the following days, Lin Feng recuperated in this thatched hut.
The little boy's name was Lu Bing. He always hung around Lin Feng and told him interesting stories about the island, which gradually improved Lin Feng's mood.
Lu Bing's mother, Lin Zi, carefully prepares meals and herbs for Lin Feng every day.
Lin Feng was sitting at the door basking in the sun when Lu Bing ran over and took his hand.
