Chapter 163: Drive Me Away
Chapter 163: Drive Me Away
The two fell into silence. Jiang Man listened to the music intently, and the longing in his eyes was seen clearly by Chen Hao.
Chen Hao lowered his eyes, a smile forming on the corner of his mouth. Like her, he felt a deep resonance in his heart.
They didn't notice that Chloe, who was sitting in the back row, quietly raised her phone and took a casual photo. Then she stood up and left the venue and made a phone call. "Hello, reporter? I have a news tip."
After the concert, it was already late at night.
"I should go home." Jiang Man's eyes were gentle, with a hint of reluctance.
Chen Hao looked at her and said, "Wait a moment, let's go somewhere."
Jiang Man looked at him puzzledly, "Where are you going?"
"Piano shop."
Inside the music store, there are a dazzling array of violins.
The boss followed closely behind, talking endlessly about the history of each violin.
Chen Hao raised his hand to stop the boss, his hands in his pockets, "Sister-in-law, is there anything you like?"
Jiang Man rubbed his temples, "You're not really bringing me here to buy a piano, are you?"
Chen Hao said as if it was a matter of course, "What else?"
"It's a way to repay you for saving my life." He said with a chuckle.
"No need, I just happened to pass by." Jiang Man understood his good intentions, but felt it was unnecessary.
Facing the rejection, Chen Hao shrugged nonchalantly, "That's right, these vulgar things are not worthy of you."
He rolled his eyes and said, "I heard there's an Italian-made violin in Gushi. Do you want to go and see it?"
"No." Jiang Man glanced at him, "It's too late, I want to go home."
"You'll regret it if you don't go." Chen Hao blinked, "Really not going?"
Jiang Man shook his head. "No, and I haven't played the piano for a long time."
Chen Hao sighed and spread his hands regretfully, "Then I'll take you back." After that, he moved closer to Jiang Man and said, "Sister-in-law, give me a chance and let me serve you."
Jiang Man glared at him and said, "Stop it."
Chen Hao glanced at her and shook his head, "You'll miss the opportunity if you do this."
Jiang Man was amused by him, "Then let it go. I have never known what is good for me."
Chen Hao raised his eyebrows and followed her words: "I think so too."
Chen Hao sent Jiang Man to the gate of the rented community and drove away.
On the night of the end of September, there was a cool breeze and Jiang Man couldn't help but shrink his shoulders.
"Why don't you answer the phone?" A figure walked out from the darkness.
Jiang Man didn't see clearly at first, but when he recognized it was Su Heng, he opened his mouth in surprise.
"Why are you here?" she asked in disbelief, swallowing.
Su Heng glanced at her calmly and said, "You haven't answered me yet."
Jiang Man responded, "My phone is out of battery and turned off."
"The battery is out?" Su Heng looked at her, trying to determine whether what she said was true.
Jiang Man nodded gently, "Yes."
She rubbed her arms, with a hint of coldness in her eyes, and said to him: "Let's go in, it's a bit cold outside."
Seeing this, Su Heng took off his suit jacket and gently draped it over her shoulders, saying with a hint of coldness, "Wash it and give it back to me."
Jiang Man blinked his eyes and asked mischievously, "Why don't you wash it yourself?"
Su Heng glanced at her and said, "Because you made it dirty."
Jiang Man tilted his head in confusion, looked down at the suit draped over his body, and suddenly understood something, "No way, I just put it on for a little while, and it's already dirty?"
Su Heng's eyes were calm and deep, as if he was questioning silently.
Jiang Man was about to unbutton his suit and return it to him, but his hand stopped in mid-air. He touched his nose and thought to himself: This guy is really weird.
The two returned to the house. Xuanxuan was not at home tonight because of the kindergarten camping activity.
Jiang Man boiled some hot water to try to dispel the coldness in her body. After all, her period came and her stomach was still a little uncomfortable.
"You're so leisurely that you can go to a concert even when you're not feeling well." There was a hint of sarcasm in Su Heng's tone.
Jiang Man paused for a moment while holding the cup. "How did you know I went to the concert?"
Su Heng sneered, took out a photo from his phone and placed it on the table, "Here's the evidence."
Jiang Man walked over, took a quick glance, and his back stiffened.
"This is not true!" She quickly denied it. In the photo, she was smiling brightly at Chen Hao, and they seemed to have a very close relationship.
"Of course I know this is not true." Su Heng raised his eyelids slightly and looked at her anxious expression, finding it quite interesting.
"Are you nervous?" He asked lightly with a playful smile on his face.
"I didn't..." She was about to deny it, but then she felt it was unnecessary, so she nodded and said frankly: "I don't want you to misunderstand."
Her well-behaved attitude pleased him, and he hooked his finger at her out of habit.
Jiang Man walked over and pulled her into his arms. His voice finally returned to its usual calmness, "I didn't misunderstand."
Seeing him like this, Jiang Man breathed a sigh of relief, "Then how did you get this photo?"
"The entertainment company sent it to me, and I paid them some money to settle it."
"Then how did they get this photo?" Jiang Man was even more confused.
Su Heng looked at her with interest. "You didn't think you had star quality and were spotted by a scout and had this photo taken, did you?"
Hearing the teasing in his words, Jiang Man glared at him, "Did I say that?"
"Besides, do I have a bad temperament?" She changed the subject, put her hands on her hips, raised her eyebrows, and was obviously dissatisfied with his evaluation.
Su Heng looked her up and down, unable to resist a laugh, and lowered his head to kiss her lips, "You took advantage of my poor eyesight recently and caught my eye."
Hearing this, Jiang Man's face turned slightly red and she broke free from his arms. "Who wants to catch your eye?" she muttered softly.
Su Heng raised his eyebrows and leaned lazily on the sofa, "Then let's settle old accounts." He smiled and turned his gaze to Jiang Man not far away, "What's going on between you and Lu Ziyin?" he suddenly asked.
Jiang Man's expression froze, not knowing how to explain to him what happened yesterday.
"Nothing." She lowered her head, her eyes filled with mixed emotions.
Su Heng looked at her, his deep eyes seemed to be able to see through everything, "Is it because of me?" he asked.
Jiang Man was shocked, bit his lower lip, and shook his head, "No."
"Why is that?" he asked again.
Jiang Man frowned, "I don't want to say it."
"Yeah." Su Heng nodded and did not ask any further questions because he had already guessed something.
"Aren't you planning to go back?" Jiang Man asked Su Heng who was sitting on the sofa.
Su Heng raised his eyes and looked at her, "Are you chasing me away?"
"How could I?" she replied in a low voice.
"Hmm?" He hummed softly, with a hint of doubt.
Jiang Man was helpless for a moment, "Xiao Lu lives here, I don't have a room for you."
