Chapter 779 Moving

Chapter 779 Moving

Li Moer flew the fighter plane directly back home. Only his grandmother and his master's wife were at home.

The two old men were quite surprised to see Li Moer coming back. Li Moer simply told them what happened on Wangyou Island, which made the two old men sweat for her.

Li Moer told the two elders that the Prince Gong Mansion had been renovated and that there was nothing to do now, so it was time to move. The two elders were also very happy. The master's wife looked at the furnishings in the house and said, "Moving will be simple. Moer, you can just put everything away and take it out when you get there."

Li Moer nodded: "Yeah, I think so too." Then she moved her mind, covered the two houses, and began to collect them into the space.

It didn't take long before she had put all the things she needed to take away into the space.

She nodded to the two old men and said, "Okay, everything is ready. Let's go to the new house."

The master's wife stopped Li Moer and said, "You take him in for us. Go by yourself and let him out when you get there. We'll go take a bath."

Li Moer nodded, and with a thought, she took the grandmother and the master's wife into the space.

Then she drove to Prince Gong's Mansion. After entering, two workers who took care of the mansion ran over and said, "Deputy Director Li, you're here. The mansion has been ventilated and cleaned again today."

Li Moer thought for a moment and asked, "Which department do you belong to? How much is your monthly salary?"

One of the more talkative workers said, "We're part of the construction team under the municipal government, and our monthly salary is 55 yuan."

Li Moer said, "Would you be willing to watch the gate for me, announce guests when they come, and clean up when you're done? And take care of the flowers and plants in the yard? I'll give you 100 yuan a month. And it'll go up 20 yuan every month next year."

The two looked at each other with surprise on their faces, and then nodded frantically: "We do."

Li Moer nodded. "Okay, I'll give you a day off today to settle your wages with the company. You'll officially start work tomorrow. I'll pay you on a full monthly basis this month. If the construction company gives you any trouble, go find Deputy Minister Hao and tell him I asked you to take care of the yard for me."

The two nodded happily and went to the company together to handle their resignation.

Li Moer entered the space with her mind and saw Grandma and Master's wife running to open the blind box.

The two opened containers were one filled with carpets and the other filled with scarves of various colors.

Two old ladies were choosing their favorite scarves and hanging them around their necks.

After Li Moer waited for them to pick out their favorite scarves, she moved them out of the space with a thought.

The scene changed, and the two old ladies were still a little confused. It took them two seconds to react.

The Master's wife must have been a little reluctant to come out: "It's not even a day yet, why are you already out?"

Li Moer said, "We have to choose our own room so I can put all my things out. There will be two people taking care of this house tomorrow, and it will be a bit troublesome to get my things out."

Li Moer said, "I plan to let the people who take care of the house live in the front yard. I also plan to set up guest rooms here, as well as a room for me to play music. When people come, I will let them live in the front yard."

Built during the Qianlong Emperor's reign, the Prince Gong Mansion was originally the private residence of the powerful official Heshen. Heshen, thanks to his talent and the Qianlong Emperor's favor, rose to immense power, and his residence naturally embodied the lavishness of the palace. However, following Heshen's downfall, the residence changed hands several times, ultimately becoming the residence of Prince Gong Yixin, hence the name "Prince Gong Mansion."

The Prince Gong Mansion's thirteen-courtyard layout fully demonstrates the ingenuity and uniqueness of Qing Dynasty residential design. The overall architecture of the Prince Gong Mansion is divided into "three routes and five verticals," with each route consisting of multiple courtyards connected in series, forming a vertical and progressive relationship.

This layout not only reflects the central axis symmetry and distinct main and side rooms of Qing Dynasty houses, but also creates a solemn yet majestic atmosphere through the progressive layers of space.

The Prince Gong Mansion's spacious front yard served as an important venue for the owner to receive guests and hold ceremonies. The entrance hall, situated in its center, served as the gateway to the residence. Its solemn and elegant design underscored the owner's distinguished status.
